She works to help people reconnect to their strengths, work through their fears, and find the resources they need to thrive. She has more than a decade of experience working with LGBTQ+ folks, with a special focus on providing support to the trans community.She graduated from the University of Michigan Master of Social Work program in 2016, and achieved her clinical LLMSW in 2017, CAADC in 2019, and full clinical LMSW licensure in 2020. She became trained in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, in 2022. She has 9 years of clinical experience with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and 6 years of supervisory experience over clinical practice and/or programming. She has experience in settings ranging from outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment, to schools, to shelters for unhoused youth, to community centers.Throughout her career, much of Zoe’s work has had a particular focus on meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ people. Starting in 2012, she worked at MSU at what is now called the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center. In 2015, she was accepted into the National LGBTQ Task Force's Trans Leadership Exchange, a program for developing leadership skills and networking with other advocates, and later that year she began facilitating an after-school program for LGBTQ+ youth called TRUE. In 2019, Zoe was awarded the Lansing City Pulse LGBTQ+ Inclusion Award, for her work supporting queer youth mental well-being in schools. Later that year, she began leading the clinical team for a residential program serving runaway and unhoused youth, many of whom belonged to the LGBTQ+ community. In 2021, Zoe developed and managed the Behavioral Health Program for Affirmations in Metro Detroit, the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the state.
