Geeta Rabari Canada 2026: London & Mississauga

Some artists put on a concert. Geeta Rabari starts a movement on the dance floor. For a decade the voice they call the Cuckoo of Kutch has turned entire halls into one spinning circle that refuses to sit down until the lights come up. This Navratri, she is bringing that to Ontario, and not once but twice.

Two nights, two cities, two separate events: Saturday, September 5 at Vibrant Navratri at the BMO Centre in London, and Sunday, September 6 at Navrang Navratri Festival Canada at The International Centre in Mississauga. Both land on the Labour Day long weekend, so block off the dates now.

The Short Version

Gujarati folk star Geeta Rabari plays two separate Navratri Garba nights in Ontario in 2026, run by different organisers. First, Vibrant Navratri at the BMO Centre, London on Saturday, September 5, with entry at 6:30 PM and music from 7:30 PM. Then Navrang Navratri Festival Canada at The International Centre, Hall 5, Mississauga on Sunday, September 6, with gates at 6:00 PM and music from 7:00 PM. Both are family-friendly, and all ticket sales are final, so book early.

Who is Geeta Rabari, and why the whole diaspora knows her name

If you grew up on Garba, your feet already know her songs. Geeta Rabari is the biggest folk voice Gujarat has produced in a decade, and she got there from a village most maps skip. Born in Tappar, a small village in Kutch, into a traditional Rabari family, she started singing bhajans in the fifth standard and turned professional by 20. In 2018, her debut track “Rona Ser Ma” became the first Gujarati song to cross 500 million views on YouTube, the number that turned a village girl into a household name in every Gujarati kitchen from Ahmedabad to Ontario.

She never traded the village in for the fame, though, and that is the part people love. She still performs in traditional Kutchi mirror-work ghagra cholis. She still sounds like the earth she came from: rustic, powerful, and impossible to sit still through. Her setlist reads like a diaspora playlist, from “Desi Dhol Vage” and “Eklo Rabari” to the devotional “Shree Ram Ghar Aaye.” She has filled halls in the UK and France, and she has been honoured by the World Book of Records at the British Parliament in London.

What makes a Geeta Rabari night different

Here is the part that matters. Geeta Rabari does not do slow nights. Her Navratri sets are non-stop, a genuine live production rather than a DJ working a playlist. Her voice sets the tempo, the dhol answers, and a floor full of chaniya cholis and kediyus finds the same rhythm at once. The energy goes up at 7 and does not come back down until the lights do.

You do not watch a Geeta Rabari show. You join it. Watch the person next to you, copy their feet, and within one song you are part of the circle.

The two shows: pick your night, or do both

Same legend, two separate events with their own organisers. London on the Saturday is the Vibrant Navratri night. Mississauga on the Sunday is the bigger Navrang Navratri blowout. Here is everything you need on each.

Show 1: London, Saturday September 5

Vibrant Navratri with Geeta Rabari, hosted by Nexus Entertainment Ltd. at BMO Centre London, 295 Rectory St, London, ON N5Z 0A3. Entry opens 6:30 PM, music from 7:30 PM, wrapping up around 11:45 PM. Tickets start at $35 (Early Bird) and $40 Regular, with combo tickets up to $75 that pair her with Atul Purohit or Aditya Gadhvi. Free on-site parking, kids under 3 free, a government-issued ID is required at entry, and no outside food or beverages. Book the London show.

Show 2: Mississauga, Sunday September 6

Navrang Navratri Festival Canada 2026 with Geeta Rabari, hosted by Diversity Cultural Association at The International Centre, Hall 5, 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, ON L4V 1E8. Gates open 6:00 PM, music from 7:00 PM, and gates close at 8:00 PM, so do not stroll in at 8:15 and act surprised. Early Bird tickets are $40 CAD and Regular is $45. The venue sits right beside Toronto Pearson International Airport, an easy drive from across the Greater Toronto Area. There is no re-entry and no outside food or drink. Book the Mississauga show.

Notice the dates. September 5 and 6 are the Saturday and Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend. Translation: you can dance raas garba until midnight and still have all of Monday to recover. Somebody planned this well.

Pro tip on the outfit: go full traditional, chaniya choli or kediyu or a crisp kurta, whatever lets you spin freely. Then pair it with footwear you can survive several hours of raas in. Future-you, three hours into the night, will thank present-you.

Bring three generations, they will all find their song

Both nights are built for everyone, from the grandparents who grew up on these songs to the kids discovering Garba for the first time. This is a celebration of Gujarati heritage on Canadian soil, the kind of evening where old friends reconnect and strangers end the night in the same circle.
