This short course is suitable for members of the public, volunteers, community groups, and anyone wishing to refresh or update their skills between longer qualifications such as Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work. Entry requirements Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and able to perform practical tasks at floor level. While there are no formal entry requirements, it is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. Course requirements Due to the practical nature of this course, learners should wear comfortable clothing and flat footwear suitable for kneeling and floor-based activities. Requalification This qualification is valid for three years. Learners must retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
