Watercolor Art Class for Beginners
Instructor James Middleton
James Middleton is a visual artist based in Arlington, Georgia. He earned his associate's degree in art from Andrew College in 1967 and later completed the Master Artists Painting Course at the Kachina School of Arts in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1986. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2001 and a Master of Education from Georgia Southwestern University in 2010.
James draws inspiration from the world around him, painting subjects that move him-whether it's a cloud, an old building, flowing water, or the way light dances across an object. Working primarily with oil, watercolor, and acrylic paints, he explores different mediums to express his artistic vision of nature.
With a lifelong passion for art, James seeks to capture the beauty in everyday scenes, from a solitary farmhouse in a vast field to a twisted, weathered tree. He is captivated by the movement of water spilling over rocks and the way sunlight transforms the landscape. Through his work, he strives to honor and glorify God, celebrating the wonders of the natural world while evoking emotion and appreciation from viewers.
His greatest hope is that his art allows others to see the world through his perspective, bringing them both inspiration and joy.
