Speakers will include superintendents and students from the Blaine, Ferndale, Mt. Baker, and Meridian school districts. All three legislators from the 42nd District, Rep. Alicia Rule, Rep. Joe Timmons, and Sen. Sharon Shewmake, will be in attendance and responding to pre-submitted questions.

As legislators head back to Olympia for the upcoming legislative session, we believe it is critical that community voices, parents, educators, students, and local organizations, are heard clearly and constructively. This town hall is an opportunity to learn, and hear questions answered about what our schools need to thrive.

Earlier this year, Fund Schools Now hosted a town hall that brought together community members and lawmakers for a productive and respectful conversation. We hope this event will continue that momentum by informing, engaging, and empowering our community to advocate for strong, fully funded public education.
