Yin yoga for flexibility & deep relaxation
WHAT IS FLEXIBILITY?
The ability to move freely without pain or restriction through the bodies natural range of movement.
Most of us would like to move through our lives easily and without pain:
Rolling smoothly out of bed, bending over to pick something up off the floor and twisting to reach the back seat of the car. Each body has a different potential range of motion, due to its unique bone and joint structure and proportions.
During this two hour workshop you will be guided into various seated and reclining Yin yoga postures on the mat and then hold them in a deep relaxed state for a few minutes at a time.
This will encourage the body to slowly and gently unwind the connective-tissue which are bound together around the muscles, joints, ligaments etc causing restrictions throughout the body.
We Will work into all the common areas of tension:
Neck, chest, shoulders, side body, hip flexors, quadriceps, posterior hips and hamstrings.
The final 15 minutes of the workshop will be a reclining guided meditation to help you enter a deep state of relaxation, not only within the body, but also in mind.
You will leave the workshop feeling calmer, lighter, brighter and freer all over!!
