Each month we will take on a different project, in a friendly and welcoming environment.In our March session Suzanne Pinder will be leading the group. She will teach us how to make simple prints with Linocut.We will learnHow to transfer an image onto a lino blockTechniques to carve the imageTo print the image with ink, onto fabric or paperTo repeat patterns to make textile or a posterDuring the session we will also look at household objects that can be used to print, so you can carry on experimenting at home.No previous experience of Linocut is needed for this session and drawing skills are not necessary. She has been involved with Blackpool Tiggers, a charity that supports families living with Autism, for twenty years. She has been a printmaker for 9 years, attending Hot Bed Press in Salford, specialising in etching, monoprint, letterpress and bookbinding. Since retiring Suzanne has started studying for an HNC in Fashion, Textiles and Costume at Blackpool and the Fylde College.
