County Day is the annual training day of our County, Lancashire West for our leaders, young leaders and Trefoild Guild members. Arrive 9.45am onwards for registration & tea/coffee. Sessions begin 10.15am.
This year the morning session for all leaders will be the new programme; either introduction to the new programme or support using the new programme for those who have started the new programme in their units/already done the introduction/overview training. These trainings are cross sectional so sessions will contain leaders from different sections.
in the afternoon, there will be either
A choice of 2 trainings from these options:
(a) Programme planning for the new programme
(b) Rainbow & Brownie craft - for unit meetings
(c) Outdoor games and activities - fun ideas to get the girls outside
(d) Residentials - Ideas to make 'good' residential better, add that extra 'spark' and update on REN form
(e) Recruitment and Retention - Ideas for girls and volunteers
(f) Using Girlguiding Online Print Centre to createletterheads, posters etc
(g) Using GO for unit leaders/assistant leaders - including updating new programme, creating emergency contact lists and general advice
(h) Organising walking & water activities - How to organise, choosing appropriate activities, safety
(I) Trefoil Guild - A Safe Space Level 1
(j) Trefoil Guild - Voyager Award
First Response Refresher (suitable for leaders whose qualification has expired within 6 months of training date or is still current)
A Safe Space Level 2
The cost of this training is £5 per person and should be paid for from unit funds. If leaders are unable to attend all day, they can attend for the morning or afternoon session only. The cost remains the same. Drinks will be provided but leaders should bring a packed lunch.
All bookings must be made via Eventbrite with payment at time of booking. Preferred sessions will be selected as part of booking process.
Leaders wishing to purchase new programme items or any trading items can pre-order online from Region Girlguiding North West England by Monday 28th January at the latest, marking special instructions as 'Lancs West County Day' and your order will be ready for collection at County Day.
