The Temple group will be going together to the Pagan Rave in Dingle. This is a costumed Bealtaine celebration during the Dingle Arts festival. See here for last year's event.
The plan is to take part, learn, and take the old tradition of using costumes during Irish festivals back to Cork. The Pagan Rave organisers are aware that we are coming coming, and have welcomed us to take part in the second part of their event (the first part is just by their group).
It means most of us will be staying overnight in Dingle, sharing rides, because the Pagan Rave starts at 20.00 and it would be too late afterwards to drive back home. You are welcome to join in with or without costumes, and you do not have to take part in the perparation events.
In preparation we will have two events:
1. Bealtaine Creature Meditation - March 10th
This will be a serious of meditations and exercises to find and connect with the costumed creature you will be for Bealtaine.
2. Creature Mask Making workshop - April 21st
Leather Mask making workshop with Isabelle Gaborit. You will need to buy a piece of leather to participate, and the specifications for this can be found in the separate event for the mask making workshop. Cost 10 Euro to cover Isabelle's fuel, time and material.
