Carolina Celtic showcases Irish and Scottish musical traditions and explores their commonality with the Appalachian ballads and stories of the Carolina mountains.

Every month Sue and Robin collaborate with a different guest artist, ensuring that no two Carolina Celtic concerts are the same. The lineup of world-class musical guests is nothing short of extraordinary.

AN TIR NUA

Based in Asheville, An Tír Nua (“The New Land”) blends traditional Celtic music with a forward-looking approach. Guitarist/piper Brian Dooley and flute player Joseph Marino draw from a broad range of Celtic traditions, shaped by close collaboration and shared exploration. Balancing driving dance tunes with expressive airs, the sound reflects both deep engagement with tradition and a contemporary performance sensibility. An Tír Nua presents traditional music as vibrant, exploratory, and alive.
