Join us for a different kind of trail experience blending miles with meaning!About this EventJoin Golden Gate Canyon State Park Interpreter Kayla at Panorama Point on September 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM. We'll meet at the parking lot and run roundtrip 4.7 miles with 1,025 feet of elevation gain (Map: https://trails.colorado.gov/routes/169791). Halfway, we'll stop for our 20-minute session of pulling and bagging Canada Thistle that threatens the local ecosystem. After, we'll continue our run back to back to Panorama Point knowing we’ve done a little good with our time on the trail. All skill levels are welcome and we will stop at all trail junctions. Please make sure to register for this run as we'll do our best to wait for everyone signed up before we get out on trail!What's provided:Work glovesBrief overview of noxious weeds/native plantsWhat you should bring:Sturdy running shoesYour typical trail running gear (vest, layer, etc.)HydrationAdditionally, please make sure you've purchased your $12 park pass before the run. There is an electronic pay station at Panorama Point. If you have a Keep Colorado Wild (KCW) Pass labeled on your car registration, this serves as your day pass. Park Rangers can check your license plate to see your KCW Pass, so no need to put your registration on your dashboard.This event is weather permitting. In the scenario that weather impacts the run, we will email if the event cannot take place.
