We’ll share dinner followed by a night hike (about 2 miles roundtrip including a short, slippery, very steep ascent) to reach the glyphs. Sunset will be at 7:50 PM. Photographers can stay as long as they like [moonrise is at 12:36 AM] while the rest of us return to camp for an early bedtime. Fires are not permitted.We’ll wake early for a shared breakfast (I’ll provide apple-cinnamon oatmeal) and hike back to the glyphs for a daylight view. [Note: Photographers may wish to hike up early to witness sunrise over the rock at 5:52 AM.] Following our morning return from the rock, we’ll bid each other farewell and return home perhaps stopping for mid-morning coffee at Schat’s.
