We’re excited to be welcoming visiting artists to Oakleaf on Wednesday 25th February as we collaborate with Artworks Art 4 All CIC for a hands-on Gelli printing session.

What is Gelli printing?
Gelli printing (gel plate monoprinting) is a vibrant, experimental printmaking technique. Using a soft gel plate, acrylic paints and textures like leaves, stencils and everyday objects, you build layers of colour and pattern to create one-of-a-kind prints.
It’s playful.
It’s slightly unpredictable.
And every print is completely unique.
During the session you will:
✨ Learn the fundamentals of gel plate printing
✨ Explore layering, texture and mark-making
✨ Create your own original piece of art to take home
✨ Work in a relaxed, supportive environment
No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
Your £10 covers materials and the essential creative accompaniment… jelly and ice cream (it’s basically tradition).
