My Kind of Yoga Ambassador Training
My name is Ann-See Yeoh and I created the My Kind of Yoga Ambassador training programme a few years ago.
Many years ago, I created a course called Pathway To Yoga. Yoga wasn't that popular then, and this course was designed to give Group Fitness Instructors a better understanding of yoga.
After delivering many intakes of the course, including delivering the yoga training on the Steiner cruise ships, and for David Lloyds health clubs, we got too busy with our other businesses, and my business partner decided to move back to Portugal.
So, I parked the course till a few years ago. With establishing a yoga studio in the Chew Valley, we decided to reinvent what we had, incorporating all the knowledge I had accumulated during that time, into what is now My Kind of Yoga.
With Ambassadors now in the very north of Scotland, Northern Ireland and as far south as Cyprus, we are looking to work with and nurture the next batch.
We are looking for people who love teaching, love yoga.
People who believe in the very simple premise that yoga is meant to fit the individual, rather than the other way around.
That simple, no-fluff is best.
That there is more value in mentorship than a piece of paper with your name on it ... (you will obviously get a certificate upon completion)
People who are loyal and wish to hang out with other like-minded people, .... and me ;)
We are NOT looking for people who are independent and unwilling to fit in with our family.
People who are conformists or who stick by the rules ... who invented those rules anyway?!
In the true essence of yoga, yoga was passed on through personal mentorship. There is an underlying respect for the tradition and yet and openheartedness towards growth and change. An acceptance of doing what is right for the people in our classes.
The course is in essence, me. All my years of yoga training, training within the fitness industry, lecturing on undergraduate and postgraduate university courses, delivering training and workshops around the world. We will look at the application of yoga, on and off the mat, the art of teaching yoga, and also (something else I'm passionate about), the business of yoga.
Group Fitness Instructors have been undervalued for way too long. We need to get out of the mindset of trading time for money. Why on earth are we still getting paid the average of £20 for an hour's class, when we were paid this 20 years ago?!
If that resonates with you, drop us a message on here, or an email, and we'll follow up with you.
