This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider ®, allowing you to;Explain what mental health isDescribe how to look after their own mental health and wellbeingDescribe the signs of poor mental health in young peopleExplain some of the risk factors associated with poor mental health in young peopleKnow how to use the MHFAider Support App®Everyone who completes the course gets:A hard copy workbook to support their learning throughout the courseA digital manual to refer to whenever they need it​ after completing the courseA wallet-sized reference card with the Mental Health First Aid action plan​A digital Youth MHFAider® certificateAccess to the new MHFAider Support App® for three yearsThe opportunity to be part of the Association of Mental Health First Aiders, the only of its kind with a collective power to raise awareness and understanding of mental health stigma.Learning:Learning takes place in person at The Edgbaston Community Centre. Training is delivered through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn.YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS TO QUALIFY AS A MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER®Once you register:You will receive a comprehensive welcome email giving you all of the details you will need to successfully complete the course from start to completion.Entry Requirements:All participants must be aged over 18 years.Cost: £325.00 per person for an open public course.Costs for in-house training courses for your organisation can be requested by e-mailing us training@birminghammind.org
