Isn’t the issue mostly about companies advertising better? And the government keeping us safe? It’s unreasonable to think we’re all going to just stop using our phones and laptops... I mean, if you’re not doing anything wrong then you should have nothing to hide, right?

Dr. Lawrence Cappello is an award-winning professor of U.S. legal & constitutional history at the University of Alabama. His work on the right to privacy has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The Economist, The Hill, and other media outlets.
