Drawing inspiration from Birmingham’s histories of steel, labor, and land, Myers reflects on the intersections of history and mythology that shape this newly commissioned work.

Working with textiles, sculpture, and storytelling, Myers’s practice considers how collective memory and place shape contemporary art. This program offers an introduction to the exhibition and the themes that animate the artist’s new installation.
