Solihull Bookfest

Solihull Bookfest

On 9th March 2019, for one day only, the whole family can enjoy celebrating stories and story-making together at The Core Theatre. So what will you choose? Will you join the amazing illustrator of the Harry Potter story books and former pirate Jonny Duddle for Illustrating Harry Potter (age 6+) or Pirates! (age 3+). Or, will you choose to meet and see the illustrator of Hetty Feather and Tracey Beaker who is also the genius behind the You Choose books - the lovely and super-talented Nick Sharratt. Nick is our festival patron and will be delighting younger fans with You Choose in Space (age 3+) and older readers with Nice Work for the Cat & the King (age 6+).
There will also be the chance to weave words with performance poet, Matt Windle, create comics with The Phoenix artist Neill Cameron and sing with the ever humorous Nick Cope. Plus, if you're a Dr Who fan, why not come and try your hand at script writing with William Gallagher?
Decisions, Decisions... with prices kept deliberately low, if your kids love to read, write, draw or perform stories - this is possibly the best Christmas gift available on the planet, ever! #makingmemories

**Important note about booking tickets**
For all large audience festival events (Nick Sharratt, Jonny Duddle, Nick Cope) and for all story sessions (Fairytale Hairdresser) you need to buy tickets for adults as well as children. For our workshops (Comics, Dr Who script writing, Trapdoor Mysteries, Poetry) you just need to buy a ticket for the child attending, not adults. We ask that adults stay in the building during workshops. No unaccompanied children at Solihull BookFest. This is a family event where we want everyone to experience the magic together!
