Skinny Living / James Gillespie (Castle & Falcon, Birmingham)

Birmingham Promoters presents:
Ages 14+ (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)

Off the back of a sold-out UK tour in September, Skinny Living announce an extensive UK and Ireland headline tour for March 2019.

Skinny Living’s story is one of struggle, troubling situations and relentless hard graft. It’s also one of synchronicity, chance meetings, and unflinching belief that their glorious acoustic soul - with its echoes of Bill Withers and Paolo Nutini – will out. They are readying the release a new track ’I Still Love You’ in the coming week.

Streaming at over 1million listeners a month across all DSPs, their single ‘Why’ has had over 12+ million streams alone. BBC Radio 1 have supported ‘Why’ and most recent single ‘Fade‘, with multiple daytime plays. The stunning video for their track ‘Let Me In’ has had over 1.8m+ on YouTube. It features two dancers, one signing the lyrics to the track, resulting in a really stirring performance piece. They performed ‘Why’ on ITV ‘The Weekend’ and ‘Fade’ live on ‘The Box’ TV. They’ve also had music synced on TOWIE and Love Island.

English born, Scottish raised singer songwriter James Gillespie emerges as one of the most quietly explosive artists in recent memory. Following its UK premiere on Complex, 'What you do' has received effusive support from a string of taste maker blogs including Hilly Dilly and The Line of Best Fit ("With a vocal that could nestle into any collection alongside Hozier and Rag 'N' Bone Man, James Gillespie harnesses influences from blues and soul to create compelling and unique music").
