Welcome to our 3-day mini sewing retreat, with expert tutor Claire-Louise Hardie aka The Thrifty Stitcher, that will give you 3 full days of blissful sewing in our beautiful studio! Claire-Louise Hardie is an award winning author, a professional Freelance Costumer for stage and screen and former Sewing Producer for The Great British Sewing Bee. As well as spending the weekend learning from Claire-Louise, there is a definite social spin on this workshop. Get to know your fellow retreaters in an evening welcome drinks reception at the shop before the 3 days commence. Also included in the price is lunch each day from a gorgeous local cafe, and optional evening dinner on the first night with the rest of the group in a gorgeous local restaurant. Additionally, prepare to get the most out of your special sewing time with a 15 minute pre-retreat video call with Claire-Louise to plan your projects. We have decided to keep this retreat very open and flexible to whatever sewing projects you would like to work on. You can use the sewing time of the retreat in any way you wish, whether that is making use of our lovely high cutting tables, our machines and overlockers, getting help with fitting and sizing. Do you have g&g Sewing Society kits that you have been hesitant to start and would like to get extra support with them? Bring them along too! Claire-Louise is very experienced in making and teaching a whole variety of garments and fitting problems so will be able to support you throughout the process.
