- **Event Description**: Come join us at our Philosophy Meetup to meet likeminded people and have thought-provoking discussions about Mental Health :)About this EventJoin Us for The Philosopher's Yard Meetup: Exploring "Mental Health"In this session, we will turn our attention to Mental Health: When you hear the phrase “mental wellbeing,” what’s the first idea, metaphor, or image that comes to mind? What is one small habit or practice that helps you feel better during a stressful week? Please note that this meetup is intended for philosophical discussion only. We do not provide mental health advice, diagnosis, or therapeutic support. If you are currently experiencing distress or believe you may need professional assistance, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a qualified mental health professional or crisis support service. This meetup will feature a poetry performence from Dev, a poet from Birmingham who uses his own experiences in life to deep dive, process and spread awareness of mental health difficulties. Having lived through a multitude of traumatic events, Dev believes that it is now his time to pass on the same support and encouragement that he once received. Being an artist and musician too, he says "Using creativity in a variety of ways can allow you to understand yourself on a deeper level. It forces you to face more challenges but to also appreciate the journey of solving them as well" - DevAs always, The Philosopher’s Yard provides a neutral, welcoming space for dialogue and reflection. Whether you are well-versed in political philosophy or simply curious about the nature of authority and responsibility, this is an opportunity to share your perspectives and listen to diverse viewpoints from fellow thinkers. The event will take place at BRIG Café at The Warehouse, located in the Birmingham city centre. The ambiance is perfect for connecting with others who, like you, are searching for deeper understanding and meaningful connections.Tickets are £5.
