Pause Art Workshop – (Ages 12-14) DECORATE A RELAXATION ROCK

Welcome to the Pause Art Workshop – Decorate a Relaxation Rock (Ages 5-12)

Join us on Saturday 29th November 2025, at 13:00PM at Pause's Digbeth Hub for a fun and creative workshop. Develop your confidence and resilience through art by decorating a relaxation stone.

The session will start off with an icebreaker or introduction to a new mindfulness skill such as grounding/calm breathing. You will be encouraged to let your creativity flow and think of your skills/positive affirmations/achievements. You will be able to take away your decorated rock to remind you of positive vibes. No artistic experience is needed, just come ready to have an enjoyable time! See you there!

12 and 13 year olds: Due to health and safety, a parent/carer must be present in the space. A separate area will be available, or parents/carers are also welcome to join the fun! Consent will need to be obtained from a parent/carer with parental responsiblility if the child is accompanied by another adult.

14 year olds: You are welcome to attend by yourself without a parent/carer, however, if you attend with a 12 or 13 year old, a parent or carer (over 18) will need to accompany them and consent may need to be obtained from an adult with parental responsbility if applicable.

Please note that to take part in the workshops, children attending need to be registered with a Birmingham GP.

Pause is an Emotional Health and Wellbeing service for children and young people up to 25 years old. We run brief drop-in sessions (no referrals, assessments or bookings required!) to help children and young people express their feelings in a safe space and empower them by encouraging them to take ownership of their wellbeing and learn skills and strategies they can use independently to support this. Alongside this, we run a range of workshops to bring like-minded people together, teach them useful strategies and skills for wellbeing and show them what Pause is about!
