We will be using various techniques to enhance the way light interacts with small natural items, such as mushrooms and flowers, instead of models.
One of my favourite techniques is backlighting, which can be applied in both portrait and nature photography. The term "bokeh" comes from Japanese and refers to the pleasing blur created by out-of-focus areas in an image, often appearing as soft, round light spots. Additionally, we will explore the starburst effect, which occurs when you capture strong light sources with the right aperture settings. By combining these three techniques, we can create stunning compositions.
