Join our Wrap Dress Sewing Class and master the art of sewing a beautiful, custom-fit wrap dress—whether in flowy woven fabric or comfy jersey.

In this 7 hour hands-on class, you’ll choose from three fantastic patterns:

Cashmerette Appleton Dress (for jersey fabrics)

Cashmerette Roseclair Dress (for woven fabrics)

Named Clothing Olivia Wrap Dress (for jersey fabrics)

You’ll learn essential dressmaking techniques, including:
✔ How to take accurate body measurements for a great fit
✔ How to work with both jersey and woven fabrics (dependent on pattern choice)
✔ How to construct and stabilise a wrap neckline
✔ Smart tips to avoid that dreaded gaping neckline

Whether you're relatively new to garment sewing or looking to build your skills, you’ll leave with a wrap dress you’ll be proud to wear—and the knowledge to make many more.

You will learn:
This will depend on the pattern option you choose to make but may include:

Smart tips to avoid that dreaded gaping neckline
Please note:

As this class is just one day, depending on your past level of experience you many have to finish some elements off at home.
The style elements you choose will be dependent on your skill level - please see skill level info below.
In this workshop, if you choose the Roseclair dress we suggest sewing either View B or View C (not the tiered skirt version). If you do decide to make View C of the Roseclair, you are likely to need to finish off at home. The tutor will ensure you know what steps you need to do in order to complete it.
