What is modern practice? What is personal belief or intention? And what actually makes something witchcraft?During the workshop we’ll explore:What witchcraft is — and what it isn’tThe difference between witchcraft, Wicca, Paganism and folk magicTraditional practice versus modern interpretationsWhat we can genuinely trace historically and what is much more recentWhy intention matters — but why intention alone isn’t the whole of magical practiceThe role of ritual, symbolism, altered states, energy and focused awarenessSpells, charms and magical tools — what they are actually doing within a workingGods, spirits, ancestors and nature within different approaches to witchcraftProtection, cleansing, grounding and magical boundariesThe difference between learning a technique and simply copying something from a book or social-media postHow to develop a witchcraft practice that is meaningful rather than just collecting correspondences, crystals and ingredientsThere will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and challenge some of the common claims surrounding modern witchcraft.This is not about telling you there is only one correct way to be a witch. Witchcraft has always varied between people, places and traditions. Instead, we’ll look at where practices come from, why they are used and how to distinguish historical tradition, established magical technique, personal experience and modern invention.Whether you are completely new to witchcraft or have been practising for years, this workshop is designed to help you look beneath the surface and develop a more informed, practical and confident understanding of the Craft.No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to question what you think you already know.Please note:- This event is non refundable unless covid restrictions come into force.- This workshop is held in a room downstairs from the shop, there are no windows therefore its not well ventilated.
