FILM Some Like It Hot with Wine

Join your host Tony Elvin of The Wine Events Company for a unique screening of the 1959 comedy classic, Some Like It Hot, alongside a tasting of five themed wines.

Widely considered one of the best comedies ever made, this is an irresistible classic from director Billy Wilder, featuring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon as two hapless musicians on the run after witnessing a Mafia hit. Yikes! How do they get out of this one? Well, by disguising themselves as women in an all-female jazz band of course. The magic begins when it soon becomes clear that the pair have bitten off more than they can chew. Expect belly laughs, sizzling dialogue and Marilyn Monroe doing a turn on the ukulele.

Our classic 1950’s classic will be paused at appropriate moments to serve you your next glass of wine and share some movie trivia. Expect a bit of dressing up in this fun and interactive ‘wine and movie’ event.
