For Taylor, though, this has never sat right. K*ll your darlings, your best lines? Surely keep those?Using this idea as a starting point, in this session Taylor will share his experience of editing work — both his own and for other writers — and advise on how best to juggle your artistic intentions with the dispassionate alterations you will no doubt be asked to make by agents, editors, publishers.This drop-in will also cover editing in a more general sense — how to edit with a distinct outcome rather than constant tinkering — as well as how to prepare your manuscript to industry standard.
