It is a place where Christian faith was tested, and where courageous witness helped advance human dignity. It is also part of CCT’s own story. Fifteen years ago, leaders gathered at 16th Street Baptist Church to read Dr. King’s “Letter from a Birmingham J*il,” an encounter that helped shape CCT’s commitment to act when human dignity is threatened.
