Beauty and the Beast Relaxed Performance Birmingham Royal Ballet
Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to its home venue with a relaxed performance of this glorious Gothic tale from artistic director and master storyteller David Bintley.
A Relaxed Performance is specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people on the autism spectrum, with sensory and communication difficulties, or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes may be made to the light and sound effects.
BIRMINGHAM ROYAL BALLET - BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
In Beauty and the Beast, a cursed Prince finds salvation in the heart of a beautiful girl. The girl, a hideous beast, a golden ballroom full of animals, two haughty sisters and a grumpy grandmother dance through the unfolding pages of Philip Prowse's stunning storybook set. To a score by Glenn Buhr, played live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, the rich choreography brings to life magical transformations, wild waltzes, and a relationship that is at first terrifying, but ultimately beautiful.
