BCU Learning and Teaching Futures 2018

The purpose of this event is to showcase the innovative pedagogical work we do here at Birmingham City University. The event will feature exciting examples of learning and teaching that are at the forefront of their subject disciplines.
The event will give you a chance to meet and network with colleagues from across the University.
The day will start with a welcome from our Vice Chancellor Professor Philip Plowden, which will be followed by a keynote from Professor Clare Mackie, our Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic.
We have representation from all faculties in the University, offering a breadth of case studies accross a variet of disciplines. For example, the New technology Institute will share their strategy behind the design and delivery of their 2-year fast track degree programmes, alongside staff and students from our Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences presenting on their project on improving the student experience for blind students.
You will also have the opportunity to meet colleagues from Student Affairs, Library and Learning Resources, Planning and Performance, Education Development Service and Careers+ in our professional services show and tell sessions.
Lunch will be provided. Alongside this we also have a range of our Student Academic partners presenting posters which give an overview of their projects. Feel free to have a discussion with them at any point during the day.
