University of Birmingham Quiz Society is pleased to announce it is hosting the UK mirror of Arcadia V, held at Birmingham Medical School on Saturday 28th February 2026.
THE TOURNAMENT

LOGISTICS
The tournament will be held at Birmingham Medical School shown here on the campus map:

Please aim to arrive promptly at 9.30. There will be a moderator briefing at 9.35 followed by a player briefing at 9.45 in the Leonard Deacon Lecture Theatre. Play will commence promptly at
10.00. Normal rounds should conclude by 7.00pm with any required finals proceeding at the conclusion.
The University of Birmingham is easily accessible by public transport. The tournament venue is located less than 2 minutes-walk from University Railway Station which is located on the CrossCity line with a 7 minute journey time from the well-connected New Street Station.

Moderators will paid £25, which can be taken as a discount against your society’s entry fee.
Sign-ups will close at 23:59 on Monday 23rd February 2026.
The field cap for this tournament is initially 20 teams, with the option to expand up to an absolute maximum of 28 teams, but we reserve the right to vary this to ensure field sizes that
accommodate feasible schedules, and to prioritise A and B teams to ensure diversity of universities attending.
The base entry fee for the tournament is £90 per team.
We are pleased to offer the following discounts:
Per Moderator attending with fully working laptop: £25
Per buzzer sets (used in the tournament and in full working order): £5 up to a maximum discount of £20, for a maximum of 4 sets.
For teams travelling more than 200 miles one way (per Google Maps): £10
