- **Event Description**: A full-day, face-to-face implementation Masterclass for SENCos, Access Arrangements Coordinators, assessors, examinations staff, and others involved in access arrangements.

Although no revised AARA document is being issued for 2026–27, centres still need to understand the relevant ICE changes, the March 2026 updates and supplementary guidance, subsequent JCQ clarifications, and the future timetable for the AARA.

The day is designed to help delegates move from regulatory knowledge to confident centre practice. It will be supportive, practical, and professionally focused, with clear guidance, worked examples, activities, and opportunities to discuss the issues that often create uncertainty.

The Masterclass will cover:

• The JCQ position for 2026–27 and the future of the AARA
• Moving from information to meaningful evidence
• Engaging teachers without creating unnecessary workload
• Using student voice appropriately
• Understanding the evidence for 25% extra time
• Distinguishing between extra time and supervised rest breaks
• Considering technology use in JCQ exams
• Applying the regulations to more complex profiles
• Recording the rationale clearly
• Reviewing evidence with inspection readiness in mind

The Masterclass includes:

• Five hours of SASC-authorised core CPD
• Practical activities, case studies, and complex profile work
• Opportunities for discussion and questions throughout the day
• A dedicated Q&A 
• Supporting materials and downloadable resources
• An optional knowledge check and CPD certificate
• Cabaret-style seating to support discussion and collaboration
• Refreshments during the morning and afternoon breaks

Face-to-face delegates also receive 60 days’ access to the separately recorded on-demand Masterclass and its supporting materials.

Delegates will also be invited to join Nick Lait’s live online presentation and related Q&A on Monday 21 September. Those unable to attend live will receive access to the recording afterwards.

Delegates are welcome to bring anonymised candidate profiles or evidence questions for discussion, but there is no expectation to do so.

A 10% discount is available for additional delegates from the same centre or trust.
