Welcome to Autism Together's Family Support Workshop.  This is a 5-week training course for families with autistic children.

The sessions will run for 5 consecutive Wednesdays for 2 hours each time.  When booking, you are confirming attendance at all 5 sessions.

Week 1:  What is Autism?  Differences in communication, differences in social understanding, strengths in autism and differences in processing information.

Week 2:  What is Communication?  Joint attention, body language, executive functioning, how children cope, how to help, social imagination and social stories.

Week 3:  The 8 Senses in Autism.  Over-sensitive and under-sensitive, sensory differences and sensory profiles.

Week 4:  Autism and Behaviour.  The reasons for behaviour, anxiety levels and recognising anxiety, integrated experience and calming strategies.

Week 5:  What are Co-occurring Conditions?  Common co-occurrences linked with autism.
