Pysanky Egg Decorating Workshop at Roberson Museum

Explore the traditional Ukrainian art of pysanky with instructor Joe Zapach, learning the wax-resist technique used to create beautifully patterned eggs. This hands-on workshop introduces basic tools, dyeing methods, and symbolic designs while encouraging creativity, patience, and cultural appreciation.

Participants will learn the full process of creating beautiful eggs with special candle heated tools, beeswax, and vibrant dye baths, all while hearing about the rich history and symbolism behind the colors and designs. Each participant leaves with a finished decorated egg.
