We are back at the gorgeous Thomas Cranmer Centre for the warmest welcome to 2026 and four hours of the best traditional music, plus soup and sandwiches and few other tasty treats.
Situated in the village of Aslockton (not far from the A52 and A46), this modern hall has atmospheric high vaulted ceilings, gothic arched windows, and a fantastic wooden floor with underfloor heating.
The doors will open from 2.30pm to allow you to settle in and have a bite to eat and grab a cuppa before the tango party starts at 3pm with Lisa's carefully chosen and varied traditional tango music. Expect favourites from the main orchestras of the 30s, 40s and 50, a sprinkle of popular contemporary orchestras to keep you on your toes and tanda info projections.
The buffet is usually very popular and on a first come first served basis. I advise being there earlier rather than later. It is a great help to me in terms of catering if you could let me knowing if you are coming at least four days before the milonga by marking yourselves as "going" rather than just "interested" or messaging me with an RSVP.
Entry £15 - Exact cash please or card on the door. You could get in free if you can help me set up at 1.30pm and help me keep on top of the plate clearing during the event.
The venue is four miles from Saxondale junction of the A46 dual carriageway and A52.
