Prepare to be mesmerized as timeless classics like âWalk the Line,â âRing of Fire,â âJackson,â âOrange Blossom Special,â and âA Boy Named Sueâ are brought to life. Feel the depth and emotion of Cashâs darker material from the later American Recordings, including the hauntingly powerful âHurt,â as well as touching on the powerful songs from supergroup The Highwaymen. This yearâs show is an emotional roller-coaster, celebrating the versatility and depth of Cashâs music in one extraordinary evening.
Johnny Cashâs connection to prisons is a fascinating part of his legacy. Although he never served time in prison himself, his empathy for inmates led him to perform in prisons, most notably at Folsom State Prison and San Quentin State Prison.
