Start your weekend early with an evening of exploration, mystery, and magic woven through the heart of downtown Billings. Join us for early check-in and take part in The Trials of the Court, a self-guided adventure that will test your wit and lead you through a series of bookish clues, puzzles, and hidden discoveries.

At This House of Books, you’ll:
? Check in and receive your wristband and goody bag
? Collect your map to begin The Trials of the Court
? Meet members of our team and other travelers bound for the Court

?️ About The Trials of the Court
This self-paced scavenger-hunt-style experience takes you across downtown Billings. Follow the clues, uncover hidden tarot cards, and solve challenges to earn small trinkets and prizes.
We’re proud to partner with the Downtown Billings Association, This House of Books, and Visit Billings to bring this adventure to life.

Our staff will be stationed throughout downtown to assist and guide you as needed.

? For VIP Guests
The VIP Reception begins at 6 PM at The Post, so we encourage VIPs to start The Trials early to experience as much as possible before the evening celebration. You’ll still have time afterward to complete remaining stops as business hours allow.

? Optional Friday Tarot Readings
If you’d like to schedule your tarot card reading for Friday evening, message us directly. You can step away from The Trials for a brief 20-minute session which would give you all day Saturday to enjoy every moment of the main event.

Friday is the prologue to the Court of Nightmares.
Wander the streets, follow the clues, and let the story begin before the shadows rise.
