Your dedicated flag will be displayed among the 1,000 flags throughout the seven-day Spirit of Freedom Field event. The collection includes hundreds of print, video, and electronic resources—from technical reports and government documents to materials covering the arts, sciences, and juvenile literature. Two commemorative aerial-view prints depicting the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, are permanently displayed in the Health Sciences Building at City College. The prints are signed by the artist and by the first-responder pilots who flew fighter jets to the two sites that day. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view a 612-pound section of steel I-beam recovered from the destroyed World Trade Center, now serving as the centerpiece of the memorial.
