Since his first pro gig in 1978, Paul has cut over 14 albums, opened for Ray Charles and Eric Clapton and shared the stage singing with an impressive list which includes Paul Rodgers, Snowy White, Ruby Turner, Sam Brown and Bonnie Tyler. He has also fronted several top-class bands including Frankie Millers Full House, John Slaughters Blues Band, Tim Hinckley’s Heart and Soul as well as his own bands, Soul Intention, The Paul Cox Band, Fire and Water and The Proof.
Paul Cox guarantees great music, terrific vocals and a steamy mix of original material and traditional blues!  A consummate professional who is highly respected for his soulful approach to his brand of rocking blues, Paul produces live performances that never disappoint. Be prepared to be entertained!!


Since their inception in 2013, Paul Cox and The Proof have established a reputation on the British Blues scene as an outstanding live band.

Featuring musicians who trod the boards with some of the world's biggest names, including Ray Charles, Paul Rodgers, Eric Clapton, Bonny Tyler, Georgie Fame, Jethro Tull, No Dice, Robert Palmer, Sassafras, Bjorn Again, William Bell, Temptations, Foundations, John Slaughter Blues Band, Frankie Miller's Full House 30th anniversary shows, Henry McCullough.

The band have performed and headlined many Blues festivals in the UK and never fail to deliver with a set that is a broad stroke of Blues and Soul. With influences interpreting classic tunes to make them their own and a collection of original tunes to call on, the Proof offer both power and subtlety in spades.

With the voice of British Blues award nominee Paul Cox fronting the show and the guitar talents of Mike Summerland burning up the fret board, Keyboard meastro Dave "Munch" Moore's glittering solos and solid phrasing, Peter Stroud and Nigel Hardy laying down solid soulful grooves on both frantic 12 bars and soulful ballads, The Proof hold your attention through a set designed for both your feet and your heart.
