Join Poetic Ambassador Shawayne Dunstan and ACMG Hiking Guide Leith Monaghan in what will sure to be a unique, and imaginative way to explore the local landscape. Participants will be immersed in the landscape poetic flair while conducting a hike of scenery, poetry and self discovery.The Hike: Our hiking journey will run from 10:00 to 2:00 PM, as we creatively explore the East Ridge Trail for Yamnuska. The maximum distance we will travel is 6.1 km (+455 m of elevation gain). We will be stopping for periods of time to write and reflect. A moderate level of fitness is required for this adventure along with the ability to sit on the ground.Your Guides:Shawayne Dunstan is an author, artist and entrepreneur living in Banff, Alberta. He has written 13 poetry books since 2016 including Tumblebug, Wallflower and Rise of Shaweezy. Let This Hold You Over is Shawayne’s latest collection and it expands on dedication, love and maturity.Leith Monaghan is an ACMG Hiking Guide, Professional Interpreter, and Educator. She owns The Path Less Taken, a small adventure business that aims to connect you to your local landscape through experiential learning, interpretation and storytelling.Cost: $65 + GST per adultIncludes: ACMG Guide, Creative Guide, Journal &amp; Clipboard, Local Baked Goods, Access to Hiking Cleats and Poles, Artistic GiftCancellation Policy:Cancellation by the Path Less Taken due to situations beyond control (park closures, highway closures, natural disasters, illness of the guide) - participants can choose to transfer full payment to another PLT trip or be refunded their money in full. Winter Poetry in Motion Trips may be rescheduled or cancelled if temperatures are below -20Cancellations made by the participant within 3 days of the trip start day will receive a 50% refund or transfer full payment to another PLT trip• No refund for no-shows
