A three-day Halloween celebration in Big Sky Town Center. This all ages event is filled with traditional holiday activities like the Skull &amp; Roses Ball, Dia De Los Muertos celebration, a costume pub crawl, Mini Monster Mash kids party (featuring dance party, costume contest and Pumpkin King &amp; Queen carving competition), featured horror films, Yappy Hour pet and person costume contest, a 5K haunted run, and other great Fall fun.

Skull &amp; Roses Ball featuring 710 Ashbury - Kick off Big Sky's Haunted Peaks Halloween Festival weekend with the 4th Annual Skull &amp; Roses Ball. 710 Ashbury is back to help us "raise the dead" with two full sets of Grateful Dead covers! Costumes a highly encouraged and prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Skull &amp; Roses King, Skull &amp; Roses Queen, People's Choice, and best Dead (Grateful Dead referenced) costumes. 8PM at The Waypoint.

Saturday, Oct. 25th

Haunted Run 5K &amp; Block Party - The 6th Annual Haunted Run 5K &amp; Kids’ Costume Parade/Fun Run presented by Moving Mountains Fitness is back. Rock your favorite costume and brave 5k of fun Halloween themed challenges. Enjoy a block party by Town Center East end businesses with live music and lots of Halloween fun! Prizes: Top Finisher, Best Group Costume and Best Individual Costume (adults). Kids prizes include Most Creative and Best Homemade Costume. New This Year: Best Pet Costume! Thank you to our sponsors Lone Mountain Land Co. and Kissell Construction. All proceeds benefiting Morningstar Learning Center. Adults start at 12PM. Awards and after party at 1PM.

Kids’ Costume Parade/Fun Run start at 1:45PM and end back at Moving Mountains for awards. All racers gain FREE entry into the Mini Monster Mash Kids Halloween Party presented by Morningstar Leaning Center PTO &amp; Rocky Mountain Toy Co.

Mini Monster Mash Kids Halloween Party - There will be plenty of Halloween fun at this year's Mini Monster Mash presented by Morningstar Leaning Center PTO &amp; Rocky Mountain Toy Co. Enjoy our kids costume contest and dance party to get everyone in the spooky spirit. Plus, don’t miss the chance to showcase your carving skills in the Pumpkin King &amp; Queen Carving Competition. Bring your pre-carved pumpkins (complete with battery-operated votives) to The Waypoint and enter them for a chance to win the 2025 Pumpkin King &amp; Queen title. 3-5PM at The Waypoint lounge theater. Donations suggested with all proceeds benefiting Morningstar Learning Center.

Tips Up Halloween Party - The team at Tips Up is transforming their courtyard into a halloween holiday hay maze complete with a scarecrow, face painting, treats, music, and family friendly fun! Check back for more info.

Yappy Hour - Join us for our annual pet and people costume contest, judged by some of our local pet-friendly celebs. There will be prizes, drink specials, treats, and fun activities to enjoy, all while raising awareness and funds for RUFF, a local nonprofit supporting veterinary care for underserved pets in the community. Bring your furry friends, dress to impress, and enjoy a Saturday afternoon filled with good company and even better causes. 3-5PM at The Rocks &amp; Fire Pit Park.

Haunted Peaks Costume Pub Crawl - Join costumed party goers for an evening of progressive pub crawling, intimate concerts and special performances/film screenings throughout Town Center. See info on the four crawl stops below.

Live Music: Brian Stumpf
Beehive Basin Brewery | 1-3PM

Start your costume pub crawl proper with a frosty pint and performing artist Brian Stumpf. A mainstay of Big Sky's live music for nearly 15 years, Brian Stumpf performs his favorite covers spanning all decades of rock music in his one-man acoustic show. While he has a vocational degree in music theory, his performance provides revelry and humor with an appreciation for mountain and ski culture. 

Live Performance: Annual Big Sky Witches Dance
The Rocks &amp; Fire Pit Park | 3PM

Come experience one of Big Sky's longest standing Halloween traditions. Each year the Witches covenant of Big Sky gathers in full ceremonial dress and performs their sacred seasonal dance in preparation for All Hallows' Eve. 

Live Music: DJ Swamp Moose
Blindside Burger | 5-7PM

Come shake your bones to the sounds of DJ Swamp Moose. Rooted in the early days of digging through crates and crafting mix tapes with friends, DJ Swampmoose has turned a love of house music into a kinetic live experience. His sets blend house and techno into a seamless flow, with deep cuts, crisp transitions, and an energy that keeps the crowd locked in. 

Special Screening: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Waypoint | 9PM

Part of the Horror Film Festival count down to Halloween Oct. 25-27th &amp; 29-30th. This iconic film event invites you to don your best costumes, bring your favorite props, and immerse yourself in the interactive fun that only Rocky Horror can deliver. From rice and toast to water pistols, get ready to sing along, dance, and celebrate this cult classic with fellow fans.

All attendees will receive a Rocky Horror Survival Kit prop bag so you can engage with each other, the host and film. Costume Contest: Show off your best Rocky Horror-inspired outfits for a chance to win exciting prizes!

Sunday, Oct. 26th

Día de Muertos Celebration - Join us for a vibrant and meaningful celebration of Día de Muertos, a Mexican holiday that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed. As part of the Haunted Peaks Fall Festival, this free, family-centered event invites the community to gather in reflection, storytelling, music, and tradition. Thanks to the world language Initiative there will be bilingual teachers and translators! Noon - 7 PM at 77 Lone Peak Dr. and Fire Pit Park.

Schedule of Events:

Noon – 7 PM | Community altar open
Noon – 2 PM | Ofrenda making (bring photos, flowers, or favorite foods of your loved ones)
2 – 3:30 PM | Calaveras Literarias Story &amp; Poetry Circle
4 PM | Presentation of Las Catrinas
4 – 7 PM | Street Fiesta with Mariachi Zavala, traditional foods, and children’s activities

Families are invited from 12–4 p.m. for kids’ activities and cultural storytelling. The celebration continues into the evening with live music, food, and community gathering. Lesser Known Collective will be performing and providing a quiet space. All are welcome to contribute photos, flowers, and favorite foods of their loved ones to the altar. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Montana Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from community volunteers and partners.

The Addams Family - Don’t miss the Halloween event of the season—The Addams Family at Warren Miller Performing Arts Center. Big Sky’s best young actors bring Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, and the whole kooky crew to life in this comical feast of love and family. Costumes welcome for kids, plus trick-or-treating and photos with the cast. Two showings @ 3PM &amp; 6:30PM.

Horror Film Festival - This October The Waypoint is counting down to Halloween with 5 days of frightfully fun horror films, Oct. 25-27th &amp; 29-30th. This evening's select film is Dracula Untold. As his kingdom is being threatened by the Turks, young prince Vlad Tepes must become a monster feared by his own people in order to obtain the power needed to protect his own family, and the families of his kingdom.
