Formati nel 2017 dal frontman Oliviero"Olly" Riva (Shandon e The Soulrockets), The Magnetics propongono un sound al tempo stesso fresco e senza tempo, che unisce le radici dello ska e del reggae degli anni ’60 al calore del soul e dell’R’n’B vintage. Fin dal debutto, la band ha portato la propria musica in giro per l’Europa con un’intensa attività live, esibendosi in oltre 500 concerti in soli sei anni. Le loro performance energiche li hanno portati sui palchi di importanti festival internazionali, tra cui Ska Wars (Messico), Zwarte Cross (Paesi Bassi), This Is Ska (Germania), Reduit Festival (Germania), Dynamite Fest (Germania), Gdańsk Skajamboree (Polonia), Tramore International Ska Festival (Irlanda), Rock N Stock Fest (Francia) e molti altri.
Nel corso del tempo, The Magnetics hanno inoltre condiviso il palco con autentiche leggende del genere, del calibro di SUSAN CADOGAN, WINSTON FRANCIS, ROY ELLIS, JUNIOR DELL, DENNIS ALCAPONE, DR. RING DING, DOREEN SHAFFER e molti altri, aprendo i concerti degli Skatalites per ben tre volte — un’esperienza che ha contribuito a rafforzare ulteriormente la reputazione. Oggi sono considerati una delle realtà più interessanti e autentiche della scena ska e reggae contemporanea, capaci di portare avanti la tradizione con stile, anima e un groove irresistibile.
