The Topics:
1) How do I play A La Parrilla
Rocco takes us on a journey into creating our own spontaneous, A La Parrilla. We will then have the opportunity to try this out ourselves in smaller ensembles throughout the weekend.
2) A La Parrilla Practica
During the weekend, Ruth will provide material in small, bite-sized units to practice fluidity away from looking at sheet music. Upon booking a place, participants will receive access to some practice material as well as a link to our practice app, free of charge.
3) The study of arrangements
We will study
~ a Bach Choral: "Ach Herr lass Dein lieb Engelein"
~ A piece arranged in 4 parts (each part also has an easy version for less experienced players)
~ a Tango, A la Parrilla-style
~ For higher level players: An extract from The Art of the Fugue (Bach)
Upon booking a place, participants will receive some of the sheet music for the weekend.
All sheet music will be available 3 months before the event.
