The Torrington Christmas Caper is a challenging mostly off-road event including some difficult terrain. Depending on the weather, the course may include wading through deep water, avoiding branches and negotiating mud. Lots of mud. It’s great fun, but please ensure you have the required level of fitness to complete the course. Some walking is expected but please remember this is a run not a walk and we reserve the right to withdraw runners from the race who have not made sufficient progress through checkpoints.
Trail shoes are recommended.

Every December at Torrington Amateur Athletic Club, we host our annual Christmas run. This stunning route stretches across almost 10 miles of mud, forest trails, rivers, and hills, and is as scenic as it is tough. What better way to kick off the festive celebrations?

Prizes for first three overall and first in each Vet Age Category, gun time. One prize per person, i.e., if you are in the top 3 overall and you’re a vet, the vet prize goes to the next person in that category.
