Live and Virtual versions availableAbout this EventSince 2022, The Veterans Charity has hosted The Falklands Challenge in honour of those who served during The Falklands War between 2 April and 14 June 1982.255 British service personnel and 3 Falklands Islanders lost their lives during the conflict and around 750 were wounded.The challenge comprises a 10-mile Yomp, paying tribute to the incredible feat achieved during the war when troops covered 56 miles on foot, carrying a huge weight of kit and ammunition, before entering a fierce battle. There is a live event which takes place on the beautiful South West Coast Path from Instow Beach to RMB Chivenor in North Devon. There is also a virtual version for those unable to make it down to Devon; choose your own 10-mile route and Yomp in honour of those who liberated the islands over 40 years ago.Entry costs £20 per person and includes a fabulous bespoke medal for all participants.
