Would you like to feel more ease in your running, have more enjoyment, or embrace new ways to optimise your ability? Mindful running techniques help improve your running mindset as well as enhance your performance and are also useful for runners with injuries.

Running is often said to be around 80% in the head, so it makes sense to start training your mind as well as your body. By learning how to specifically apply mindfulness to running, we can start to grow the necessary brain neurons that may lead to increasing both enjoyment and outcome.

Rowena says: “I have found that applying mindfulness to my own running has given me another way to do my inner practice as well as improving my PB (personal best.) It has really increased my enjoyment (especially when the weather is not encouraging, or I have a nagging difficulty) and I know it can really improve the performance of good athletes too. It can be helpful to ageing runners who are dealing with frustrations arising from decreasing speeds and other physical issues.” Learn some additional unique ideas Rowena has developed to help us connect with the elements as our body moves through the environment. A great way to be with Nature at a faster pace.

During this event, please be prepared to go out for a short run, after which there will be a vital period of Q&amp;A enabling us to reflect on that experience of practice. For those unable to run on the day, Rowena will lead another meditation while the others are out, and this will also be useful to anyone who watches the recording afterwards.

There is no charge for this event. Any donations will raise money for The Resurgence Trust, an educational charity (no. 1120414) that seeks to connect people to Nature, to each other and to themselves.
