Science Collider: The Story of the Saco

Join Heart of Biddeford for a unique evening where science, art, and storytelling come together to celebrate our community’s connection to the Saco River. The event grew from UNE Shaw Innovation Fellow Miranda Carrabba’s community engagement work, which gathered over 700 pieces of feedback—insights that directly shaped this co-created celebration.

Enjoy an art opening from 5:00–6:00 PM and presentations/performances from 6:00–7:30 PM at Lucky Pigeon Brewing in Biddeford. The night will feature music, poetry, personal stories, scientific insights, Indigenous perspectives, and an art gallery showcasing 17 local artists.

Free and open to all, with food provided and $1 from every pint sold supporting Heart of Biddeford’s community connection efforts. Come experience the river through many voices!
