Events in Bhopal

Bhopal has various historical sites and cultural hubs which makes it a great city to visit. The upper and lower Lake of Bhopal fed by the Kolas River and divided by an over-bridge and built by Raja Bhoj in 11th century is a great place to visit and enjoy the natural beauty. Sanchi, the world heritage site, is another great place to visit due to its ancient Buddhist architecture. The two royal buildings, Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil situated at the center of the chowk in the heart of the walled city is also a place worth visiting. The State Museum is one of the best-designed museums in the country with 17 spacious and well lit galleries exhibiting sculptures, manuscripts, paintings, coins, instruments and arms etc. The various festivals of the city include Madhya Pradesh, Diwali, Ramnavami, Dussehra and Navratri.
