The two royal buildings, Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil situated at the center of the chowk in the heart of the walled city is also a place worth visiting. The State Museum is one of the best-designed museums in the country with 17 spacious and well lit galleries exhibiting sculptures, manuscripts, paintings, coins, instruments and arms etc. The various festivals of the city include Madhya Pradesh, Diwali, Ramnavami, Dussehra and Navratri.
