- **Event Description**: It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news that Bexhill After Dark will not take place in 2026.

After six months of planning, the event will not go ahead following an unsuccessful funding decision from Arts Council England. Demand for funding is extremely high, with many more organisations applying for a limited amount of support.

We know this will be disappointing news for the community, visitors, artists, partners and local businesses who support and value this much-loved event.

As a #Bexhill-based organisation, this festival means a great deal to us. It began here in 2022 and has become something many people look forward to each January, bringing colour, creativity and joy to the town during the quieter winter months.

While this event won’t go ahead in 2026, we remain committed to delivering creative projects with local councils, charities, schools and community partners, and we look forward to sharing more about what’s coming next soon.
