Compared by critics to The Sopranos, The Zweiflers is a new much-lauded comic-drama series that follows the travails of an extended Jewish family sorting out the future of its vast delicatessen empire in contemporary Germany. The legendary Mike Burstyn stars as Symcha Zweifler, family patriarch and Holocaust survivor, as he prepares to sell his delicatessen empire when potentially damaging secrets from the past throw his future—and that of his children and grandchildren—into question.
